It’ll be a delicious late-spring day when the Seaside Heights Food Truck Festival returns to town in June, this year with a new location.
The borough council approved the event at its meeting Wednesday. The festival will be held June 15, featuring a multitude of food trucks as well as musical entertainment and other activities. Initially set to be held at the borough’s bay beach at Sunset Park, the event was moved to Grant Avenue municipal parking area, in the center of town, across from the water park since there may be road improvements underway near the bay beach around the same time as the event.
The festival will run from 12 noon to 8 p.m. Attendees can choose from at least 18 different food trucks, including:
- A Taste of Philly
- Bearded One BBQ
- Camille’s Cucina
- City Eats
- Cold Stone
- Gimme Hibachi
- House of Cupcakes
- Lady G Empanadas
- Mystic Lobster
- Pasta Paradise
- Rolling Pita
- Sandwich Freak
- Senor Tacos
- Spirit of San Juan
- Taste of Napoli
- Top Tea
- Twelve
Mayor Anthony Vaz said the event received its state ABC approval this week, so vendors will also be on hand to sell beer, margaritas, sangria and vodka lemonade in the “garden” setting.
Kids activities include bungee trampoline, face painting, sand art, inflatables, mini golf, remote controlled car racing, and other events.
Live music will be performed by three bands, which have yet to be announced by organizers, Just Jersey Fest and JamFam Productions. The event is open to the public.
