Lavallette will begin selling its holiday-priced season beach badges Dec. 1 for the upcoming 2023 season, officials announced this week.
Lavallette offers prospective beachgoers three periods in which to obtain a season badge: holiday pricing, pre-season pricing, and regular pricing. Holiday season pricing, aimed at those who wish to buy their badges early or give them as gifts, begins Dec. 1 and runs through Dec. 30. The badges will be sold Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 a.m. in borough hall. The holiday price is $55 for the season.
“There is no pre-order form – to take advantage of it you do need come in person,” said Councilman Michael Stogdill.
Regular season badges will be sold Jan. 16 through April 28, at which point the price will rise to $60. These badges, likewise, will be sold at town hall during normal operating hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Finally, regular season badges will cost $65 and will be available May 1 through Sept. 4. On June 5, to coincide with the start of the official beach season, sales will move from town hall to the beach badge office at the corner of Baltimore and Jersey City avenues. The beach badge office will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, and on weekends during beach hours.
The borough also offers senior citizen season badges for $20.
