‘Wine on the Beach’ Returns to Seaside Heights This Saturday, Sunday

Seaside Heights will host its annual Wine on the Beach festival this weekend, Sept. 10-11, featuring wineries across the region, vendors and the opportunity to enjoy wine with friends on the sand.

The festival will be held between Grant and Webster avenues. Vendors will appear on the boardwalk and many of New Jersey’s top wineries will have a presence on the beach for samplings and bottle purchases.

“Take your souvenir wine glass and bottles of New Jersey wines on to South Beach and sink your toes in the sand while sipping and savoring your favorite wines with family and friends,” an announcement of the event says.

It is suggested that attendees bring a comfortable beach chair to enjoy not only their wine, but live music that will be performed during the event on the large Beach Stage. On Saturday, “Boat House Row, The Yacht Rock Experience” will perform and on Sunday, “The Journeyman,” an Eric Clapton tribute band, will perform. The concerts will be held from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event, and include a souvenir wine glass and sampling for one day. The event will be held rain or shine, and purchasers must be 21 or older.
