Rain, Thunderstorms On The Way Thursday, Then Chilly Temperatures

Forecasters are expecting a stormy Thursday, with the Shore area being located on the southern end of a storm system making its way east.

According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms will move into the area before 1 p.m., then showers are likely and possibly a thunderstorm between before 2 p.m. A chance of rain and thunderstorms will continue throughout the afternoon, with a high near 78.



Southwest wind will move at 10 to 15 m.p.h., becoming northwest in the afternoon. About a half-inch of rain was expected to fall during the day.

The storms are due to clear by Thursday night, with sun returning Friday – with a high of just 62 degrees. The overnight low Saturday will drop to 57 degrees, according to the NWS forecast. Sunday’s temperature recovers a bit, to 74 degrees, the forecast said.
