Seaside Heights will kick off the 2022 Memorial Day weekend festivities with an all-out party on the boardwalk featuring hit country group A Thousand Horses.

Diana Pellegrino, one of the organizers of the borough’s annual kickoff to the unofficial start of summer, said this year’s event will come with a patriotic theme, headlined by the band.

As a two-time ACM Award-nominated Nashville quartet, A Thousand Horses has emerged as a platinum phenomenon with 100 million-plus streams, sold out shows and hit number 3 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. They are famous for their single “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial,” “Drinkin’ Song,” and “Livin’ My Best Life.” Recorded during quarantine, “A Song To Remember” is an anthem that builds towards “an incendiary guitar solo and an intoxicating chorus meant to be chanted aloud in bars, clubs, arenas and beyond,” Pellegrino said.

The band consists of Michael Hobby (lead vocals), Bill Satcher (lead guitar), Zach Brown (guitar and vocals), and Graham Deloach (bass and vocals).

Even More…

Dave Bray USA, a patriotic entertainer, will deliver a full spectrum of energy and emotion on the boardwalk. As a United States Navy veteran and national recording artist, Dave considers his music to be a “Continuation of Service” and has dedicated much of his career to honoring our veterans, active duty military members, and fire, police and first responders.

“We are so excited to bring back the Memorial Day Weekend Kickoff to Summer event in Seaside Heights, which is the unofficial start of the summer season,” said Mayor Anthony Vaz. “We also want to honor the true meaning of Memorial Day, which is to remember those in military service who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We look forward to everyone coming to enjoy this free event and celebrate America.”

Seaside Heights Kickoff to Summer, A Salute to America is free and will take place on the boardwalk in front of Spicy Cantina beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, May 27, with October Rose Performing. After the kickoff the celebration continues with the music of the NICKY FABBZ Band hitting the stage at 7 p.m.
