The Ocean County Master Gardeners are “back in bloom,” an announcement from the group said, as they plan the return of their annual plant sale May 7.
Partnering with the Rutgers University Cooperative Extension, the group will offer specialty annuals, perennials, herbs, tomatoes, vegetables and shrubs for sale. The plant of the year will be the Fothergilla gardenii, commonly known as American wych hazel.
The event will take place at the extension building, 1623 Whitesville Road, Toms River, on May 7, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. Shoppers are welcome to bring their carts and wagons. There is ample free parking. Cash, checks (with ID) and credit cards are accepted.
