Organizers of the 2022 Seaside Heights Polar Plunge, which benefits Special Olympics New Jersey, reported the possibility that Saurday’s chilly – but sunny – exceeded its fundraising goal and may have eclipsed $2 million in pledged donations.
The tally of funds raised was up to $1,922,099 by 5 p.m. Saturday, with more expected to come in as same-day registrants and last-minute plungers have their pledges added up.
