Storm Incoming This Weekend, But Mother Nature Gave Us a Spectacular Show First





Forecasters are calling for rain and gusty winds this weekend, so we needed to get a little time on the water before the foul weather arrives. The video above shows a few scenes from the amazing display Mother Nature put on for anyone who was lucky enough to be near the bay Thursday night.

Meanwhile, the forecast is looking grim for the weekend. According to the National Weather Service, Friday will be the last day with copious amounts of sunshine until after the holiday weekend is over. Today, the NWS is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high of 72 degrees with a light west wind of 5 m.p.h. in the afternoon.



Saturday will begin with areas of drizzle, turning to steadier rain after 8 a.m. The temperature will not reach out of the high 60s, and an east wind will blow at 20 m.p.h. with higher gusts. The rain will continue into Saturday night, with a low of 66 degrees. Wind speeds will increase to a sustained 25 m.p.h.

More rain is likely Sunday, mainly after 11 a.m. Otherwise it will be cloudy, with a high near 70. It will be breezy, with an east wind around 20 m.p.h. There is a 60 percent chance of rain.

On Columbus Day (Monday), the rain will cease but it will be mostly cloudy for the entire day with a high of 72 degrees.

Altogether, a half-inch to one-inch of rain is possible this weekend.
