People seeking seasonal or year-round employment have an opportunity to explore a wide variety of positions in Seaside Heights this Friday, July 23, at a job fair hosted by the borough’s Business Improvement District.
The BID, with the assistance of Liberty Coca-Cola, is conducting a Job Fair at 11 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Carousel Pavilion on the Boardwalk at Carteret Avenue.
The fair will feature positions from employers such as Casino Pier/Breakwater Beach, Kohrs The Original Frozen Custard, Jimbo’s Bar and Grill, Shake Shoppe Arcade, and many other Seaside Heights businesses, plus employment opportunities with Liberty Coca-Cola.
“Many highly successful careers in fields ranging from education to law began with a seasonal position in Seaside Heights,” an announcement by BID Director Michael Redpath said. “While working at the oceanfront in a resort community provides many enjoyable experiences, it also provides exceptional training in working with the public and providing good customer service.”
Liberty Coca Cola is assisting with the job fair as they are a major sponsor of activities in Seaside Heights. They are assisting their customers while also having an opportunity to do their own recruiting, officials said.
“We hope to draw people from all employable ages and a variety of skills,” Redpath said. “The idea of a mid-summer job fair arose out of discussions about the staffing challenges businesses throughout the country have been experiencing.”
Details of the Job Fair are located at exit82.com/jobs/. The webpage also links to an online job application which applicants can complete at home before attending the event.
