Seaside Heights has announced the dates on which sun worshipers will be able to either purchase or pick up their 2021 seasonal beach badges.
Seaside Heights season beach badges – regular and senior citizen season beach badges – will be available for sale or pickup (for those who have already purchased their beach badge through the Viply smartphone app) at Borough Hall, 901 Boulevard, on the following dates:
- Saturday March 13: 12 noon to 3 p.m.
- Saturday March 27: 12 noon to 3 p.m.
- Saturday April 3: 12 noon to 3 p.m.
- Saturday April 17: 12 noon to 3 p.m.
Anyone buying badges in person will be required to use cash. Badge purchases through the Viply app can use electronic payments.
“Appropriate face covering must be worn while inside borough hall,” an announcement from the borough said.
Those who have purchased their beach badge through Viply’s smartphone app are asked to have the app open and ready to be scanned in with the bar code visible on their screen.
Season beach badges are $45 each through the close of business May 15 and $60 commencing May 16.
Senior citizen beach badges are $15 each and $25 for two if purchased at the same time. They are limited to those 65 years of age and older. Purchasers will be asked for their driver’s license or other identification showing a date of birth, “so please have the identification with you at the time of purchase,” the announcement said.
