Last year’s Ocean County St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Seaside Heights attracted tens of thousands of revelers just days before the coronavirus pandemic became an issue of wide concern. This year, the disease has led to its cancellation.
“This situation is beyond our control,” the parade committee announced Tuesday on social media. “This is a sad time for everyone- we are working together to plan future events as soon as possible.”
The message said the parade was canceled “due to Covid-19 issues and safety concerns.”
