Seaside Heights Country Music and BBQ Fest Set for This Weekend: Here’s Who’ll Be There

Seaside Heights will begin a new tradition this coming weekend, with the first Country Music & BBQ Festival – featuring hit country artists and more than a dozen food trucks, plus vendors and more.

The festival, which takes place Sept. 13-14, is being led by Seaside Heights and JerseyShoreCountry.com, sponsored by Coors Light. Award-winning duo Thompson Square will headline the two-day festival, which will feature more than 12 country bands and musicians. There will also be eight BBQ food trucks and several others serving their speciality fare.

The Coors Light Seaside Heights Country Music Fest will begin on Friday, Sept. 13 at 5 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. The festivities will then pick up the following day starting at 11 a.m. Tickets are just $20 in advance (which are suggested – click here to purchase) for a for a two-day wristband to the Country Music Festival and $30 at the gate. Access to the BBQ area and vendor area are free. Here’s who will be performing (and cooking) at the festival:

“To have our very first Country Music & BBQ Fest in Seaside Heights is beyond exciting!” said Mayor Anthony Vaz. “We are continually bringing events to our town for all families to enjoy and country music is certainly for all families. We welcome everyone to come and enjoy a great time with amazing talent, great food and some family fun!”

Thompson Square, the headlining duo, will perform Saturday. Thompson Square are two-time Academy of Country Music (ACM) “Vocal Duo of the Year” winners and Country Music Association (CMA) “Vocal Duo of the Year” winners. Additionally, they have won multiple CMT Music Awards and American Country Awards and received American Music Award and Teen Choice Award nominations. The duo received GRAMMY nominations for “Best Country Duo/Group Performance” and “Best Country Song” for their double platinum-selling, No. 1 charting smash “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not.”
