Seaside Heights has announced that its Wine on the Beach event will return for its fifth year in a row – albeit with a few changes this time around due to the new look of the beachfront.
This year’s event will run the weekend of Sept. 7 and 8, officials said, and will once again feature tastings from wineries across New Jersey. The weekend will also feature numerous musical performances, artisans and crafters and food from local restaurants.
This year, the wineries and other vendors will set up on the boardwalk since new dunes and beach entrances have been installed. But as always, attendees can set up a chair and blanket before enjoying their favorite vino on the sand.
Wine on the Beach will run from 12 noon to 5 p.m. each day. There is a discounted ticket of $10 for first responders and military. So far, the participating wineries include Coda Rossa Winery, DiMatteo Vineyards, Monroeville Vineyard & Winery, Plagido’s Winery, Salem Oak Vineyards, Sharrott Winery, Tomasello Winery, Valenzano Winery, Ventimiglia Vineyard, Villari Vineyard and Wagonhouse Winery.
For more information and to buy tickets, see the borough’s tourism site.
