Seaside Heights police say a ride at Casino Pier has been shut down after a woman was injured in a fall.

According to Detective Steve Korman, officers were called to the pier at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday night and assisted a 51-year-old woman from Philadelphia who sustained minor injuries from a fall while assisting her two grandchildren from the Crazy Bus ride.

The woman was transported to Community Medical Center by Tri-Boro First Aid. Casino Pier administration immediately shut down the ride and, in addition, contacted the New Jersey State Amusement Ride Safety Unit, Korman said.
