Marilu Henner to Help Kick Off ‘Broadway Meets the Beach’ in Seaside Heights Sunday

Broadway lovers at the Shore won’t have to venture far to see the stars and performances they love this summer – and it all starts Sunday.

Three concerts will be presented this season. Sunday’s performance is “Gettin’ the Band Back Together,” which will feature a selection of songs from the musical, featuring a live performance by Marilu Henner. The performance begins at 6 p.m. at the Franklin Avenue stage.

The performances were organized by local residents Dee Pellegrino and Joseph Brunetti, of DPM Shore Solutions, an event and media company. The family-friendly concerts are open to the public and will feature performances by the actual cast members of Broadway’s biggest hit shows.

The Monday, Aug. 6 performance will be “Anastasia” and the Monday, Aug. 13 show will be a revue featuring the casts of School of Rock, ​Beautiful – The Carol King Musical and ​​The Play that Goes Wrong. All shows will start at 6 p.m. on the Franklin Avenue stage.
