Organizers of the Shadow of the City music festival, which had been scheduled for June 18 in Seaside Heights, have decided to relocate the show to another town.
AEG Live, the promoter of the show, will hold it in Asbury Park at the Stone Pony Summer Stage instead. Those who already bought tickets will still be able to use them at the new location.
Mayor Anthony Vaz told Shorebeat that the company decided to move the show after ticket sales fell short of the 4,000 they wanted to sell. About 1,800 had been sold, he said. The relocation of the show will not cost borough taxpayers, since the festival was being produced by AEG, not the borough, he said.
The festival features numerous artists, including The 1975 and Carly Rae Jepsen. More information is available on the festival website.
