The first post-Labor Day events in Seaside Heights are expected to go on as scheduled as borough officials continue to monitor Hurricane Dorian.
The borough announced Monday that the Office of Emergency Management is not recommending any actions on the part of homeowners beside continuing to monitor the storm’s progress. More information about the storm’s potential effects on the area are expected by Wednesday, when the borough will re-evaluate.
“In the meantime, events scheduled for next weekend in Seaside Heights have not been cancelled,” the borough announced.
Next weekend’s events in town include the popular Wine on the Beach festival, Sept. 7-8, and a Prince tribute concert on Sept. 7. A Billboard Live ’70s tribute concern is planned for Sept. 8.
