The holiday season is coming in like a lion this year, with windy, blustery weather replacing unseasonably mild days just last week.

According to the National Weather Service’s office in Mount Holly, the high Monday will be just 45 degrees, with the mercury dipping down to 33 degrees overnight. Tuesday’s high will be 47, and the breezy weather will continue, with gusty winds up to 20 m.p.h. sticking around.

For “Thanksgiving eve,” the pattern will continue. It will be sunny with a high of 51, though less breezy. By the time Thanksgiving Day rolls around, rain will enter the picture. The NWS is current forecasting a 40 percent chance of rain for the holiday and mostly cloudy skies with a high of 54 degrees. On-and-off showers will linger into Friday.
