The Seaside Heights planning board will consider an application to divide a property into two lots where two new homes are planned.
The owner of the property at 36 Hancock Avenue is seeking minor subdivision approval to subdivide the existing lot in order to create two conforming residential dwelling lots. The property is currently improved with a single family home that was built in 1938. It was sold in June, according to county land records.
The property measures 40-by-100 square feet, while the borough’s standard lot size for single family dwellings is 20-by-100, meaning the two new lots would conform to the town’s zoning code.
A hearing on the matter will be held at the planning board’s Oct. 28, 2024 meeting, scheduled for 6 p.m. in the municipal courtroom on Sherman Avenue.
