Seaside Park Police Blotter: Warrants, Delivery Scare, Intoxicated Exit

Seaside Park police have released their weekly blotter, featuring a sampling of calls to which the department responded over the last several days. The total number of calls handled by the department last week was 314.

First Aid – Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to help a victim who fell and sustained some minor injuries. The subject was assessed and later transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

Community Policing – A person walked into police headquarters, was lost, and did not have her cell phone and was unsure of how to get back to where she was staying. Officers spoke with her and gathered information about the location of the residence and were able to locate where she needed to be. Police gave her a safe escort back home.

Verbal Dispute – Police responded to the area of Porter and Central for a verbal argument between two females. Officers arrived and spoke to one subject who stated a female had approached her and was shouting at her over a parking space saying she could not park there then went back into a residence. Officers attempted to make contact with the other individual and police were unable to contact them for their side. It was determined to have just been a verbal dispute and the subject was advised of complaint procedures if she wished to pursue charges.

Arrest – While on a motor vehicle stop for traffic violations it was determined that the driver had an active warrant for her arrest out of a neighboring jurisdiction. After further investigation in speaking with the female passenger, it was determined that she also had an active warrant out for her arrest. She was also placed under arrest, and both were processed at police headquarters and the driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for the violations. The defendants were turned over to the issuing agency.

Disturbance – Police were dispatched to the area of Farragut and Boardwalk for a caller reporting two males who were causing a disturbance and acting in a disorderly manner. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller and gathered information about the incident. Police were able to locate the males who were involved nearby. Both male subjects were issued a borough summons for public nuisance.



Community Policing – Police responded to the area of Lafayette and Ocean for a subject who locked their keys in their vehicle. Officers arrived and were able to utilize our lockout kit and gained entry into the vehicle for the driver.

Alarm – Police were dispatched to the area of Farragut and Ocean for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the building, and no signs of forced entry were observed. Police did locate someone on the premises, and it was determined they were authorized to be there, and the alarm was set off in error.

Suspicious Person – Police responded to the area of M St. and Central to take a report from a female who stated she is a third-party delivery driver and dropped an order off at a nearby residence and the male subject grabbed her arm and tried to get her to go in his residence and was acting strangely. She stated the male asked her to bring the order in on the table and was saying the order was incomplete which she explained the rest of the order was with another driver. The caller stated the male was acting peculiar and made her feel uncomfortable and left the residence and called police. Police spoke to all parties involved and advised the caller how to sign complaints if she wished to do so.

Arrest – Police responded to a verbal argument between a male and a female on the ocean block of 1st Avenue. The male subject fled before police arrival and when he left he backed into a parked vehicle causing damage. Patrols were out looking for the subject and found him just as he struck a moving vehicle at 2nd and Central Avenue. After further investigation and speaking with the driver it was determined he was intoxicated. He was placed under arrest where he was charged with driving while intoxicated as well as other motor vehicle summonses.

Arrest – While on patrol, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop for a motor vehicle infraction. After further investigation it was learned that the driver had an active arrest warrant out of another jurisdiction. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. He was issued a summons for the motor vehicle violation. The originating agency was advised, and they released the subject with a new court date.
