Local residents will have the chance to ring in the new year as any Shore resident should – with fireworks on the beach!
Seaside Heights will host its annual First Night Ocean County celebration New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, and will include prizes, train rides, fireworks and more, as part of a partnership between the town and a number of boardwalk businesses.
Two trackless trains will circulate on the Boardwalk between event locations, and fireworks are scheduled for 5 p.m., weather permitting. Wristbands will soon be available on the borough’s tourism website. The event is being presented in cooperation with Casino Pier, Lucky Leo’s Arcade, Coin Castle and the Shake Shoppe Arcade.

Casino Pier Schedule of Events (No Wristband Required):
- 1pm: Frozen Sing-A-Long
- 2pm: Holiday Magic Show
- 3pm: Kids Holiday Concert
- 1pm-3pm: Meet & Greets with Holiday Mr & Mrs Mouse
- 3pm-5pm: Meet & Greets with Australian Pups
- 4pm: Kids Dance Party with a Countdown to “Midnight” Balloon Drop at 4:30 p.m.
- 1pm-4pm: Mr & Mrs Mouse, Blue Hedgehog & Coco (character visits will alternate throughout the day)
- 1pm-4pm: Caricaturist
- 1-5pm: Caricaturists
- 1-4pm: Face Painting & Balloons
- 1:30pm & 3:30pm: Rizzo’s Wildlife Show
- 2-5pm: Appearance by Mario & Peach
- 5pm: Fireworks on the Boardwalk
- 5:30pm: Grand Prize
