The Seaside Heights planning board this week voted in favor of permitting the subdivision of a parcel of land on Bay Boulevard into two lots on which residential homes will be constructed.
The board unanimously voted to approve an application by Cheryl Good to subdivide the property at 502 Bay Boulevard, near the intersection of Webster Avenue into two buildable lots. The existing lot has an area of 6,250 square feet.
The applicant proposed demolishing the existing one-story building and keeping a 2 story building that is already present on the property. The new lot sizes will be 4,250 square feet and 2,000 square feet. The board also approved variances related to two existing non-conformities on the property – a front setback one half-foot too short, and a lack of parking in the rear of the parcel. The new lot, however, will create 2 parking spaces for a potential home.
The board only approved the subdivision; if no further variances are required, construction of a new home may not need to come before the board for a hearing. A future home for the address is being marketed by Seaside Realty.
