Lavallette officials expect to begin the borough’s holiday beach badge sales the week of Dec. 4, officials said, with no change in badge prices planned for the 2024 summer season.
Councilman Michael Stogdill said Monday night that seasonal beach badges will sell for $55, the same as last season. Senior citizen badges will be $20, and badges for those who are disabled will be $15.
“All veterans and active military are admitted to the beach with no charge,” he added.
The borough revived holiday badge sales several seasons ago following requests from residents who traditionally gave them as Christmas gifts. The holiday badge sale provides the largest discount in the early season, though the prices will remain the same as last year even as time goes on.
After pre-season sales, seasonal badges will remain at $65 for the 2024 season, weekly badges will sell for $35 and daily badges will sell for $13 per person. Senior badges remain at $20.
Lavallette broke its beach badge revenue record as part of a banner summer in 2023, taking in $1,323,866 as of the end of the Labor Day weekend.
