Watch: Timelapse Shows Storm Clouds Rushing Into Shore Area

Northern Ocean County was spared from the worst of a line of storms that, at one point, had prompted a tornado watch to be put in place throughout much of the state. The area experienced – and, at the time this article is being posted, still experiencing – occasional heavy rain in between lighter showers, with some lightning.

According to the National Weather Service, a chance of rain and thunderstorms would continue overnight between Monday and Tuesday, giving way to a period of patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, forecasters are predicting a partly sunny day with a high near 80 degrees and a southwest wind 10 to 15 m.p.h.
