Earlier this week, Shorebeat reported that Seaside Heights would host the Sharpe Family Singers, the New Jersey family that has gone viral recently over their “modern day Partridge Family” status, much of which has been inspired by Broadway shows.

The Sharpe family will perform at Seaside Heights’ second “Broadway Meets the Beach” show this season, scheduled for Friday night – but there’s even more for visitors to enjoy this week and at the season’s third event, set for Aug. 11, where comedic acts will be featured.

Produced by Broadway veteran Joseph John Brunetti and local event organizer Dee Pellegrino, the July 14 edition of Broadway Meets the Beach – free and open to the public – will feature performances by Lucia Giannetta, Charlie Marcus, the cast of Mike and Mindy’s Wild Weekend Jam, Jackie Nuzzo, Theresa Carlomagno, Josh LeRose, Tyler Ricker and the OCAC Microphonic Choir.

Giannetta has been featured in A Bronx Tale and Les Miserables. Marcus has, likewise, been seen in A Bronx Tale as well as A Chorus Line and Peter Pan on Broadway, as well as off-Broadway performances in The Great Gatsby and Romeo and Bernadette.

The Friday, Aug. 11 event will feature John Cudia, Jen Perry, Korie Lee Blossey, Jackie Nuzzo, Josh LeRose, Tyler Ricker, Brayden Morgan, and the OCAC Choir.

Cudia has performed on Broadway in Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera, and appeared in “The Four Phantoms in Concert” on PBS. Perry has starred in Broadway’s Kinky Boots and Mama Mia, with performances off-Broadway in Nunsense. She’s also made TV appearances in Blacklist, True Blood, The Late Show With David Letterman and Good Morning America, plus roles in hot movies “Get Him to the Greek” and “Frozen.”

Blossey is perhaps most recognized from his portrayal of the genie in Aladin on Broadway, and has performed in numerous national tours of major productions.

The performances – July 14 an Aug. 11 – both take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Franklin Avenue stage off the Seaside Heights boardwalk. The events will also feature prizes, surprise guests and meet-and-greets after the shows.
