The National Weather Service has advised Ocean County residents of the possibility of minor tidal flooding Wednesday and Thursday, as variable weather moves into the area.
Though no major storms are forecast this week, there is a possibility of minor flooding at times of high tide on both days, the NWS said. Offshore, seas will run 2-3 feet on Wednesday and 2-4 feet on Thursday. A small craft advisory that had been in place expired early Tuesday morning.
According to the NWS forecast, Wednesday will bring a chance of rain, mainly after 12 noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 44 is expected, with a northwest wind around 5 m.p.h. becoming southeast in the afternoon. On Thursday, the forecast calls for a slight chance of showers before 1 p.m., though otherwise partly sunny, with a high near 56 and light southwest winds.
