Lavallette officials on Monday night raised beach badge prices slightly, with both seasonal and daily badges seeing price increases for the 2023 summer season.
The borough adopts its beach badge prices in the fall due to annual holiday badge sales, which account for a good portion of those sold. Each year, there are two rounds of pre-season sales before full pricing begins in the spring. Each seasonal price for beach badges has been raised by $5.
For the 2023 season, holiday badges will cost $55, pre-season badges will cost $60, and regular price badges will be $65. Daily badges will rise by $1, to a cost of $13.
Veterans and active military can acquire a badge with a copy of their military ID at no charge. Officials said the dates and locations for holiday and pre-season badge sales will be announced soon.
