The Seaside Heights planning board has approved two development projects on Dupont Avenue.
The board earlier this month took action in approving applications involving the properties at 22 Dupont Avenue and 47 Dupont Avenue.
In one application, the owner of 46 Dupont sought permission to divide the current parcel into two lots, each of which will measure 20-by-100 feet. A single-family home will be built on each. The board granted several variances in relief of the application, including allowing a side yard setback of 1-foot on one side of the home and 3-feet on the other, and a height variance allowing 43.9-foot tall buildings. The board required the developer to maintain two on-site parking spaces and demolish existing structures on the property.
The application for 22 Dupont was also approved. The owner of that property also requested permission to subdivide the land into two 20-by-100 foot lots where two single-family homes will be constructed. The board, as part of that application, granted a variance allowing a side yard setback of 1-foot on the westerly side and, likewise, the home to be built to 43.9-feet tall.
A condition of the approval stated there are to be no fences in between the new homes.
