Sunday Stun-day: Sun Sets on The Weekend, Minor Coastal Flooding Possible This Week

Is there a better way to end the weekend with a calm sunset, shore birds putting on some acrobatics, and a perfect temperature? We think not, and we thought you might like to go along for a little ride with us – some beautiful scenes from the local area last night can be seen in the video above.

For the week ahead, the weather continues to look good – not perfect, but good, according to the National Weather Service – starting with partly sunny skies Monday, with a high near 80. East wind will be light,  at 5 to 10 m.p.h. The NWS warned of the possibility of tidal flooding this week, coinciding with the moon phase and the natural tide cycles. Specifically, the agency cautioned of minor coastal flooding at times of high tide on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tuesday will bring partly sunny skies with a chance of showers and a high of 77 degrees, the NWS said. Showers are also possible Tuesday night. The sun will return in earnest Wednesday, though there may be a slight chance of a shower after 2 p.m. The high Wednesday will be 80 degrees.
