NWS Forecast: After Wednesday, Gloomy Weather to Enter the Picture

The National Weather Service is predicting an end to the Shore area’s stellar weather that has been in place in recent days.

Wednesday, forecasters are calling for mostly sunny skies with a high near 82 degrees, however rain is anticipated to move in Thursday. According to the NWS forecast, clouds will move in Wednesday night, and Thursday will bring a slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. It will otherwise be mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. A quarter to half-inch of rain is possible.



A chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue through Thursday night into Friday morning. It will be cloudy, with a low around 71. Another quarter to half-inch of rain may fall.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue to be present into Friday, with showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. The skies will remain mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. Rainfall is expected to be minimal except for areas where thunderstorms produce heavy precipitation for a short period of time.

The rain threat will continue into Friday night, but skies will eventually clear, the NWS said. Forecasters are calling for a mostly sunny Saturday, with a high near 75.
