Seaside Heights officials announced Monday that the borough will host its first-ever Halloween Fest next month, complete with a decked-out boardwalk, activities and special guests.
The event will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 22-23 (times noted below). It will take place on the “Boo-Walk” and in the Carousel Petrified Pavilion. Visitors can check in with vendors on the Boardwalk as they dance to the Monster Mash. Strolling magicians will mystify with their talent – and you never know what creepy characters are lurking around!
The “Petrified Pavilion” includes the Tunnel of Terror. Outside there’s Ecto 1, the famous vehicle from the Ghostbusters movie franchise, including the new Ghostbusters Afterlife coming this November. The Hemi Hearse will make an appearance (and you never know who may be inside).
Inside the Pavilion, visitors will experience scary face painting classes, caricatures, and photo opportunities with the Ghostbusters Vehicle. Attendees can shop among vendors selling toys, comics and more. Popcorn, candy and food will be available for sale. There will also be a pumpkin patch to buy a pumpkin along with a decorating table.
“We are so excited to introduce a family-friendly Halloween event this year for all to enjoy,” said Mayor Anthony Vaz. ” We will continue to bring even more events to Seaside Heights year-round.”
Tickets are $5 and required for ages 5 and up. All tickets must be purchased online; no tickets will be sold on site. Tickets are time-specific as there is a capacity limit for the pavilion. A time must be pre-selected. The event will take place Friday, Oct. 22 from 4 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 23 from 12 noon to 10 p.m. Full details, and ticket purchases, can be found at this link.
All proceeds to benefit the Seaside Heights Historical Museum, and Resilient Minds On The Front Lines, both registered nonprofit organizations.
