Seaside Heights recently swore in a new member of the borough council to replace the seat held by Louis DiGuilio, who resigned earlier this month due to an expected move.
Vito Ferrone, a planning board member and fellow Republican, was selected by his party to serve the unexpired term until Election Day.
Ferrone was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and now resides full time in Seaside Heights with his wife, Sondra. Together they have three daughters – Danielle, Stephanie and Cara – and two grandchildren, Bella and Jack.
Ferrone has an Advanced Program Degree from The American Institute of Banking, New York, N.Y. and a B.A. from Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, N.Y. He has held various positions in finance and institutional asset management at several banks for over 50 years. Ferrone started in banking as a teller and worked as a credit analyst, commercial lender, merger and acquisitions specialist, investment banker and institutional asset management sales.
He is currently a Vice President, Senior Relationship Manager, Commercial Lender at M&T Bank. Ferrone is an avid Giants fan and community advocate. He most recently served as president of the Seaside Heights Property Owners Association, a role he resigned to become a councilman.
