New Jersey parks officials this week said Mobile Sportfishing Permits, the formal name of the sticker that allows with four wheel drive vehicles to access the beach for fishing, are sold out for the 2021 season, however additional permits will be available in the fall.
“If you have already ordered online or we have your paper application received by mail today, your permit will be processed,” the April 7 announcement said. “We have several hundred to finish processing and mail out, or if you chose to pick up we will call you when it is ready.”
The announcement reiterated the fact that the state will not process any new permit applications mailed after April 7.
“We will have additional permits available for purchase on October 1, in time for fall fishing season,” the announcement went on to say.
Three-day permits will be available with advance purchase through May 25, the announcement said.
