Seaside Park’s youngest residents will have a new place to play in the near future.
The Bay Avenue playground, located on the bayfront near the 5th Avenue Pier, is being rebuilt and will be ready in time for better weather.
“We did order the materials four or five months ago,” said Councilwoman Faith Ligouri.
Borough Administrator Michael Capabianco said installation work is scheduled for this week. After construction is completed and inspected, the playground will be open to the public.
“My grandchildren go there all the time,” said Ligouri. “It’s such a nice little park.”
