First Night Ocean County has become a New Year’s Eve tradition in Seaside Heights, and while the boardwalk won’t be bustling with events and attendees due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, officials are still planning some fun activities for kids.
This year’s event will be held virtually on New Year’s Eve between 1 – 4 p.m. Organizers didn’t want to spill the beans on the details, but plenty of fun is in store, they say. While the hours during which the event is open for participation are 1 – 4 p.m, the minimum time you will need is around 30 minutes. You can take longer, though, as participation is at the pace you and your family set.
The event involves a series of online puzzles and experiences and 100 (or more) participants will be lucky winners. The prize list and rules will be published at the First Night website closer to Dec. 31. Participants will not be able to start until 1 p.m. and must have their entries submitted by 4 p.m. First Night can be accessed from the website linked here.
The event (just as it is when presented in-person) is free.
