Voters in Lavallette approved a ballot question which asked whether the borough’s elementary school district should appropriate $2.2 million in funding for schools repairs.

The district operates one K-8 school on Brooklyn Avenue. The $2.2 million will be funded through bonds. The state will reimburse 40 percent of the cost through matching grant funds.

According to board documents, the funding will be used for various projects around the school, including repairs, renovations, and the installation of new fixtures and equipment.
