Friday’s thunderstorms, a result of a cold front moving through the area, produced a water spout that formed over the ocean.
According to witnesses, the water spout was seen off the Silver Beach section of Toms River’s north beaches, near the border of Lavallette. The water spout fizzled before reaching land. There were no reported injuries.
