Seaside Heights will host its third annual “Wine on the Beach” event this weekend on the sand at Blaine Avenue, which will feature local wineries and allow participants to enjoy some vino from the comfort of their beach chairs.
This year’s event will run Sept. 9 and 10, officials said, and will once again feature tastings from wineries across New Jersey. The weekend will also feature numerous musical performances, artisans and crafters and food from local restaurants.
Wine on the Beach will run from 12 noon to 5 p.m. each day. The event takes place on the sand, and participants are free to set up their blankets and chairs and enjoy wine while relaxing on the beach. So far, the participating wineries include Coda Rossa Winery, DiMatteo Vineyards, Monroeville Vineyard & Winery, Plagido’s Winery, Salem Oak Vineyards, Sharrott Winery, Tomasello Winery, Valenzano Winery, Ventimiglia Vineyard, Villari Vineyard and Wagonhouse Winery.
For more information, see the borough’s tourism site.
The weather forecast for the event looks nice, if a bit cooler than last year. Saturday will be sunny and 69 degrees, and Sunday will be sunny and 70 degrees.
