Two North Jersey teens were identified as being involved in a fight that broke out on the Seaside Heights boardwalk during the holiday weekend.
According to police, a verbal altercation on the boardwalk near Franklin Avenue turned physical at about midnight Saturday.
Upon arrival, officers were told that a verbal altercation between two groups consisting of young adults and juveniles visiting the boardwalk turned into a physical altercation, resulting in minor injuries. During the physical altercation, police said, items were dropped onto the boardwalk which were later recovered by detectives and found to be in the possession of a 15-year-old male from Belleville, along with a 15-year-old female, also from Belleville.
“This incident is still at this time under investigation,” police said in a statement. The statement did not say whether any charges will be filed.
