Island Traffic Lights Are Back On

There are lots of signs of spring this week, but here’s the biggest thus far: the island’s traffic lights are back on.

The schedule for the lights, on Route 35, is determined by the state Department of Transportation, Lavallette Mayor Walter LaCicero said at a recent meeting of the borough council. The state chose April 15 this year to put them back on a regular red-amber-green schedule.
