Beautiful sunny skies, temperatures in the 70s and an exciting New York Giants game culminated in a great day by the bay in Lavallette, where hundreds of people came to spend their Sunday.
The first-ever Food Trucks and Football event, sponsored by the Lavallette Business Association, was a resounding hit, complete with a diverse array of cuisines (from falafel to fresh mozzarella, and everything in between), a beer tent staffed by the Lavallette Volunteer Fire Company and free water from the Lavallette PBA. All the while, residents enjoyed some gridiron action on a big screen with boats flying by on Barnegat Bay as a backdrop.
