Making the rounds on social media this weekend is a video that shows a newly-married couple – and their wedding party – taking a ride on the historic Casino Pier carousel.
The video, captured by Tom Ernst, shows the group laughing, smiling and posing for their wedding photographer’s cameras as they fly by.
The carousel, a historic Dentzel-Looff with a Wurlitzer military band organ, is owned by the pier, but will eventually be transferred to the borough’s ownership as part of a land deal with the pier operator. Seaside Heights is planning to build a boardwalk museum where the carousel will be housed.
