The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in Ocean County until 8 p.m. Monday night.
After the watch ends, there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8 p.m. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 74 and a southwest wind 8 to 10 m.p.h. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Northwest wind 6 to 11 m.p.h. becoming light and variable in the afternoon.
