Seaside Heights Mayor Anthony Vaz ordered flags in the borough to fly at half staff Saturday to honor the lives of five police officers in Dallas who were murdered this week.
“The families of Officers Brent Thompson, Patrick Zamarripa, Michael Krol, Lorne Ahrens, and Michael Smith are in our prayers during this difficult time,” Vaz said.
The officers were killed when a sniper opened fire, targeting them, at an anti-police rally in Dallas Thursday night.
The flags have been lowered at town hall and on the boardwalk.
