Two Lavallette council members will return to the dais for additional three-year terms following their victory at the polls Tuesday.
Republican incumbents Joanne Filippone and James G. Borowski, who were running unopposed, won re-election to their seats. On the borough’s Board of Education, Lisa Taylor and Michael Valeri, both incumbents, won re-election to three year terms. They, too, were running unopposed.
Filippone and Borowski won 348 and 400 votes, respectively, while Taylor and Valeri won 332 and 323 votes, respectively. Lavallette’s total voter turnout 23.09 percent of the voter base, just ahead of the overall Ocean County average turnout.
