A protective berm put in place by Seaside Heights officials over the past week seems to be holding, though the powerful waves kicked up by a nor’easter continue to threaten, chipping away at borough beaches.
No boardwalk damage was apparent by early Friday evening, and the waves were not reaching the boardwalk area.
