Seaside Heights’ first celebration of National Dog Day went off without a hitch Wednesday, with two blocks’ worth of four-legged beachgoers having the time of their lives swimming, playing ball and just hanging out on the sand.
Mayor Anthony Vaz called the event a success. The celebration also extended to the boardwalk, the length of which was open to dogs to take a stroll with their owners.
