Scooter, Moped Rental Business Proposed for Seaside Heights

The Seaside Heights planning board will meet next week to consider the application by a property owner to open a moped and scooter rental business on his property.

The business is proposed for 1114 Boulevard, which has housed a plumbing company for several years.

As part of the application, the owner, John Condit, will request for variances for the front setback of the building and approval of a sign for the business, as well as a use variance to use the property in the Retail Business Zone for the purpose of renting scooters and mopeds, along with such other variance and design waivers.

The hearing will be held April 25, 2018, at 6 p.m. at the borough municipal complex.
