Toms River officials will host a series of public input sessions to review the existing conditions of the township’s bayfront and barrier island communities to identify opportunities to improve zoning and land use regulations in order to promote storm recovery and resiliency from future storm events, the township announced this week.

The workshop that will cover barrier island communities in the township will take place on Saturday, Nov 14, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Ocean Beach Fire Company, located at 40 Kittiwake Avenue in the Ocean Beach section.

The input received at these meetings will provide information to township officials on how to “mitigate, reduce or prevent impacts from natural disasters,” the township said in a statement.
