Police have charged an Ocean County contractor with two violation of the New Jersey Contractor Registration Act.

Dennis Cleary, 53, of Manahawkin, was charged Friday by Long Beach Township police following an investigation which revealed he was performing home improvements without being registered with the State of New Jersey, Division of Consumer Affairs as a home improvement contractor, police said in a statement.
